The poppies at Blackstone are all wild, none have been planted. Poppy seeds can lie dormant in then soil for many years. Visitors are encouraged to come and view the amazing sight, which is right next to the busy A456 Bewdley bypass, but are requested to stay behind the roped off area to avoid disturbing nesting pairs of skylarks. The poppies are in full bloom but are expected to die down very soon.
